Every year on October 10th, people across the world come together to recognise World Mental Health Day, a time to raise awareness, challenge stigma, and remind everyone that mental health matters just as much as physical health.

At LilyAnne’s Wellbeing, this day holds special meaning. It is not just about awareness; it is about action, creating safe and understanding spaces where people feel heard, valued, and supported.
Why World Mental Health Day Matters?
Mental health affects every one of us. Whether it is stress, anxiety, depression, or loneliness, these experiences can touch any life at any time. Yet too often, people feel they must hide how they are feeling, fearing judgement, misunderstanding, or shame.
World Mental Health Day helps to change that. It encourages open conversation, empathy, and understanding.
It reminds us that asking for help is a strength, not a weakness, and that support should be available to everyone, regardless of who they are or what they are going through.
By shining a light on mental health, this day also challenges the stigma that too often surrounds it, helping to build communities where people can speak openly and receive the support they deserve.
The Power of Reaching Out
It can be difficult to say, “I’m not okay.”
But that first step, reaching out, can be life-changing.
Talking to someone, whether it is a friend, a family member, or a support service, can help break the cycle of isolation and worry.
Sometimes, simply being heard is enough to make the load feel lighter.
At LilyAnne’s Wellbeing, we see every day how connection changes lives.
Through our coffee mornings, one-to-one sessions, and peer support, we help people rediscover confidence, rebuild hope, and reconnect with others who understand.
You do not have to face things alone. Support is always here.
Our Message This World Mental Health Day

Trevor Sherwood Co-Creator of LilyAnne's Wellbeing said "This World Mental Health Day, we invite everyone to take a moment to check in, with yourself and with those around you.
"Ask someone how they are doing, really listen, and remember that you do not have to have all the answers to make a difference.
"And if you are struggling, please reach out. Whether you talk to us at LilyAnne’s Wellbeing, your GP, or a trusted friend, taking that step towards support is one of the bravest things you can do."
We Are Here for You
