Background
When Sarah (name changed for confidentiality) first engaged with LilyAnne’s Wellbeing, she was living in unsafe and unstable housing due to domestic abuse. Her environment left her feeling fearful, isolated, and overwhelmed. With no close family support and limited financial stability, she was at significant risk of deteriorating mental health and long-term hardship.
Challenges
Unsafe and insecure housing conditions.
Exposure to ongoing domestic abuse and coercive control.
Severe anxiety, low self-esteem, and feelings of hopelessness.
Social isolation and lack of trusted support networks.
Barriers to accessing statutory housing and wellbeing services.

Her mental health improved, with reduced anxiety and increased self-confidence.
She established new social connections, reducing loneliness and isolation.
She began exploring education and volunteering, seeing a future for herself beyond survival.
Most importantly, Sarah reported feeling “safe, hopeful, and able to start again.”
