At LilyAnne’s, we believe that support should adapt to people—not the other way around.
Too often, people tell us they delayed asking for help because they were worried about being judged, rushed, misunderstood or simply not fitting into traditional services. For many, making that first step can feel overwhelming.
That is why LilyAnne’s has been designed differently.
Reducing barriers to support
Everyone’s experience is unique. Whether someone is living with anxiety, depression, loneliness, autism, ADHD, grief, stress or simply needs someone to listen, we recognise that there is no single approach that works for everyone.
Our aim is to remove as many barriers as possible so people feel comfortable reaching out for support.
We understand that contacting a service can be daunting. That’s why we offer a range of ways to get in touch, allowing people to choose the option that feels right for them.
A welcoming environment
From the moment someone walks through our doors, we want them to feel welcomed rather than assessed.
Our wellbeing hub has been created to provide a calm, friendly and inclusive environment where people are treated with dignity, compassion and respect. We know that many people have previously had negative experiences when seeking support, and we work hard to ensure every interaction is a positive one.
We believe everyone deserves to feel heard.
Support without judgement
Mental health challenges can affect anyone.
There is no “right” reason to ask for help, and there is no expectation that someone has reached crisis point before contacting us.
Whether someone needs emotional support, structured counselling, help overcoming loneliness or simply a safe place to begin talking, our team will listen without judgement.
Our focus is on understanding each person’s individual circumstances rather than making assumptions.
Taking the time that matters
Many people tell us they feel rushed when accessing services elsewhere.
At LilyAnne’s, we know that trust cannot be built in a few minutes.
Our team takes the time to listen, understand what matters to each individual and help identify the most appropriate support. Sometimes that means providing support ourselves, and sometimes it means helping someone access another organisation that is better placed to meet their needs.
The goal is always to help people find the right support, not simply the quickest option.
Inclusive by design
We know that traditional services do not work equally well for everyone.
Some people prefer face-to-face conversations, while others feel more comfortable using WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger or email. Some people need quieter environments, clear communication or additional time to process information.
By recognising these differences, we aim to create services that are accessible, inclusive and responsive to individual needs.
Rather than expecting people to fit into our service, we continually develop our service to better meet the needs of our community.
Community at the heart
Support is about more than appointments.
Alongside counselling and listening support, LilyAnne’s offers wellbeing groups, coffee mornings, peer support opportunities and community activities that help people build confidence, reduce isolation and develop meaningful social connections.
These opportunities allow people to become part of a supportive community where they know they are not alone.
Looking forward
Being designed differently is not about being different for the sake of it.
It is about creating a service that people feel able to access, regardless of their background, experiences or circumstances.
Every decision we make is guided by one simple question:
Will this make it easier for someone to ask for help?
If the answer is yes, we know we are moving in the right direction.
At LilyAnne’s, we remain committed to reducing barriers, promoting inclusion and ensuring that everyone who contacts us is treated with kindness, respect and compassion.
Because support should never feel out of reach.
