Our Victoria Ward base

Rooted locally and open to all of Hartlepool

Our home at Titan House is in Victoria Ward, close to Hartlepool town centre and directly on York Road. Victoria’s local picture shows why an approachable community base matters, but our reach is not limited to the ward: people from every part of Hartlepool are welcome to access the Hub.

About 8,600

Victoria residents

The council’s ward profile recorded 8,586 residents in 2019, making Victoria Hartlepool’s largest ward at that time.

53 per hectare

The most densely populated ward

Local population-density evidence identifies Victoria as Hartlepool’s most densely populated ward.

Highest count

Job-seeking UC claimants

The council identifies Victoria as the ward with the highest number of Universal Credit claimants who are not working and are looking for work.

High-street access

A visible town-wide front door

Our York Road location gives Hartlepool residents a central, recognisable place to find community, connection and support.

Based in Victoria. Here for Hartlepool.

Being rooted in one neighbourhood helps us build trust locally. Being centrally located helps us remain accessible to adults across the town. The Wellbeing Hub is a shared Hartlepool resource—not a service restricted to Victoria Ward.

Sources and dates: Hartlepool Borough Council employment and economic growth JSNA, mental-health JSNA, Hartlepool Ward Profiles and population-density evidence. Ward-level figures are the latest figures presented in those council sources and may relate to earlier years.

The Hartlepool picture

A town with strength, pride and significant wellbeing challenges

LilyAnne’s supports people from across the whole of Hartlepool. The town has strong communities and a proud identity, while official evidence also shows high levels of loneliness, financial pressure, worklessness and preventable poor health. These pressures can overlap and make it harder for people to feel connected or ask for help early.

Hartlepool’s estimated population in 2024, including 33,444 residents aged over 55.

30.5%

The 2023/24 figure was significantly above regional and national averages.

23.1%

Census 2021 recorded this among residents aged 16+, compared with 18% across England.

77.2%

Adults living with overweight or obesity

The 2023/24 figure was the highest recorded among local authorities in England.

17.9 per 1,000

The rate is increasing and is significantly worse than the England average.

This is why Hartlepool needs welcoming, community-based support that people can approach before difficulties become overwhelming. The Hub provides a visible route into connection, information and appropriate wellbeing support.

At the heart of the Hub

Peer support built around you

Peer support recognises the value of connection between people who may share similar experiences or understand what it is like to face mental-health, neurodiversity, loneliness or everyday wellbeing challenges.

Peer support does not replace counselling, medical treatment or crisis support. It offers a supportive community where people can connect at their own pace and know they are not alone.

More than a service

A welcoming community space

The Hub is a place where adults can meet others, feel less isolated and take part in their community without pressure or judgement. People can come for conversation, connection, an activity, information or simply somewhere welcoming to spend time.

Open community activities

You do not need a diagnosis or a referral to attend our open community activities. You can take part at your own pace, whether you want to talk, join an activity or quietly spend time around other people.
