We are so proud to share that Trevor Sherwood Snr to run Great North Run for LilyAnne's Wellbeing—a dedicated volunteer, proud dad to Trevor (our Chief Executive) and Angela (our Wellbeing Hub Manager)—is taking on the challenge of the Great North Run to raise money for LilyAnne’s Wellbeing.

💜 A Message from Trevor
“Thank you from my heart to everyone who has already sponsored me.
I am absolutely over the moon at the response and generosity from you all.
It really does mean a lot to me that you’ve taken the time to donate money to help this charity that is so close to my family and me. In just over a week, I’ll be running the GNR for LilyAnne’s Wellbeing. I’ll be honest
I’m starting to get nervous 😬 about it now!I volunteer with LilyAnne’s because I want to make a difference. I see first-hand how the charity changes lives every single day
especially for men who often feel they have nowhere to turn with their mental health. So many men suffer in silence, and I’ve watched LilyAnne’s give them a voice, a safe space, and the courage to reach out for support. That’s why I’m running for them, and for everyone who needs to know they are not alone.”

🙏 Why It Matters
Every penny raised goes directly to LilyAnne’s Wellbeing’s mission—providing free counselling, walk-in support, coffee mornings, suicide prevention campaigns, and outreach for people across Hartlepool.
And the impact is real. Here are just some of the stories we’ve heard from men who walked through our doors:
“I’d made up my mind that I couldn’t go on. I came to LilyAnne’s as a last resort. That first chat saved my life. Now, I’ve got the support I need and a reason to wake up each morning.”
“I was at my lowest and had already tried to end everything. Coming here gave me a lifeline. The staff didn’t judge me—they listened. Slowly, I started to believe I could keep going.”
“As a man, I thought I had to bottle it all up. Walking into LilyAnne’s was the hardest thing I’ve ever done—but it gave me back hope, and reminded me I still matter.”
These are not just words—they are lives saved, families kept whole, and futures rebuilt.
