Creating a Safe and Supportive Space Together
At LilyAnne’s Wellbeing, we believe that good support starts with clear boundaries. Boundaries help everyone feel safe, respected, and understood. They create a space where you can talk freely, knowing that your privacy and wellbeing come first.
Boundaries are not rules to limit you they are gentle guidelines that protect both you and your counsellor. They make sure your sessions stay focused, private, and supportive.
Respect and Kindness
We treat everyone with respect, patience, and understanding and we ask the same in return.
Aggressive, unkind, or threatening behaviour toward staff, volunteers, or other clients will not be accepted.
Appointments and Timekeeping
Your counselling sessions take place at pre-agreed times.
If you cannot attend, please tell us at least 24 hours in advance.
Sessions cannot be moved forward, extended, or changed at short notice.
Confidentiality
What you share in counselling stays private.
We will only share information if we believe you or someone else is at serious risk of harm.
We will always explain this if it becomes necessary.
Understanding What Counselling Is
LilyAnne’s Wellbeing is a counselling and emotional support service, not an adult or children’s social care service.
Counselling is a safe, private space where you can talk about your feelings, experiences, and challenges.
Our counsellors listen, support, and help you explore ways to manage difficulties, build coping strategies, and make positive changes.
Counselling is not about giving advice or making decisions for you.
It is a process of self-understanding and personal growth, supported by someone trained to guide you with empathy and respect.
We cannot intervene in personal, family, or legal matters but we can help you find the strength and clarity to move forward.
Contact Boundaries
To protect both clients and counsellors:
-
Contact outside of arranged sessions is not allowed.
-
Counsellors cannot accept friend requests or messages on social media.
-
Counsellors cannot be phoned, texted, or messaged directly.
-
All communication must go through LilyAnne’s Wellbeing during opening hours.
We understand some days can feel really tough, but LilyAnne’s is not a crisis service.
Please save those conversations for your next session, or if you need urgent help, call 111 (Option 2) or visit www.lilyannes.co.uk/resources for immediate support.
Seeing Your Counsellor or Team Outside LilyAnne’s
If you see your counsellor or another member of the LilyAnne’s team outside our wellbeing hub, you are welcome to say hello.
However, they will not be able to talk to you about anything discussed in counselling, your mental health, or any personal situation.
This helps protect your privacy and keeps all support within the right setting.
Accessing Support
Support can only be accessed through LilyAnne’s during your agreed sessions or drop-in times.
If you need general advice or help between sessions, please contact the main team during opening hours.
If you need to change an appointment to a later date, please call 01429 728040 or use your online account to reschedule.
Appointments cannot be moved forward or brought closer to the current date.
If you are struggling or feel unsafe, contact the NHS Crisis Team on 111 (Option 2) or visit our resource hub for links to immediate help.
Working Together
Counselling is a partnership.
We listen, support, and guide you in a safe and respectful way.
You are always in control of your journey and we are here to help you build confidence, understanding, and resilience.
