LilyAnne’s Wellbeing is proud to support Save Hartlepool’s Heugh Battery Museum having made a donation of £500 towards the fundraising efforts.
After having a discussion with Councillor Dave Hunter we as a charity within the community who looks to support other businesses, and community groups needed to get behind this incredible cause and support the 16-mile Tommy to Tommy coastal walk from Seaham to Hartlepool.
Which set off from Seaham’s Tommy statue to the Heugh gun battery’s own Tommy silhouette, We offered the Coffee Bar as a central location for those wanting to take part in the walk to sign up and take donations from those wanting to sponsor the walk.
The Wellbeing Cafe donated £500 to ensure fundraising got off to a great start and some of the team wanted to sign up and do the walk themselves while other members of the team helped at the finish line and at various points during the walk.
Thousands of pounds in total was raised to support and ensure the future of the Heugh Battery Museum was cemented.
What is fantastic about this event is how the people of Hartlepool from all walks of life came together to ensure the future of the Museum and will stand ready to help and support the museum going forward.
