Mental health support can sometimes feel difficult to access, particularly when people are already struggling with anxiety, emotional overwhelm, loneliness or low mood.

Many individuals are unsure where to turn, worried about long waiting lists or anxious about asking for help.

At LilyAnne’s Wellbeing, we believe mental health support should be accessible, compassionate and available before people reach crisis point.

Across Hartlepool, there are a range of services and organisations providing support for emotional wellbeing, mental health, loneliness, neurodiversity and crisis support.

Finding the right support often depends on the individual, their needs and the type of help they feel most comfortable accessing.

Support for Anxiety, Loneliness and Emotional Overwhelm

Many people accessing support are experiencing:

  • Anxiety and stress

  • Emotional exhaustion or burnout

  • Loneliness and isolation

  • Low mood or depression

  • Difficulties coping with everyday life

  • ADHD or autism-related overwhelm

Mental health difficulties can affect anyone, and many people continue trying to cope alone long before reaching out for support. Accessing support early can often help reduce isolation and improve emotional wellbeing before difficulties become more overwhelming.

ADHD and Autism-Friendly Support in Hartlepool

Many autistic adults and individuals with ADHD report difficulties accessing traditional support services, often feeling misunderstood or unsupported.

At LilyAnne’s Wellbeing, we provide neurodiversity-friendly support focused on understanding, emotional wellbeing and accessible communication. You do not need a formal diagnosis to access support.

Support may include:

  • One-to-one emotional support

  • Peer support and social connection

  • Safe and low-pressure environments

  • Community activities and wellbeing support

The Importance of Community and Connection

Mental health support is not always just about counselling. For many people, social connection and feeling part of a supportive community can make a significant difference to wellbeing.

Through coffee mornings, peer support and wellbeing activities, people are able to build confidence, reduce isolation and connect with others in a welcoming environment.

Small moments of connection can often have a powerful impact on emotional wellbeing.
